Node Red + Raspberry Pi = Fun

So recently I have moved up from my hometown of Nelson to Wellington city to become an even bigger IT nerd, and I recently attended a Netapp User Group Meetup and had a blast!

We covered so much cool tech, but one that stood out to me was how easy you can create an IoT device using Node-Red. I’m not going to go into a massive discussion on what Node-Red is but it’s basically a click and drag programming tool, and if you want to find out more here is the link. https://nodered.org/

Now I went home and thought of how I could use this with my raspberry pi and found a guide online for exactly that.

So the project is pretty much attached your Pi to a breadboard and remoting turning a light on and off, fun right!

So here is my attempt.

And if anyone else is interested in trying it out, here is the link.
