My Journey Into Linux #1

Today marks the second day of my semester break, and I wanted to attempt to use Linux for my second semester. I attempted this during the middle of my first semester and Ijust faced massive issues because I was using Office 365 as my polytech offers us that for free. But of course that’s not supported on Linux and I found changing the format from Word to Libre Office would cause a few issues that I did not have the time to fix, and I was also faced with WIFI connection issues on campus as well.

This coming semester I am determined to get it to work and I am going to blog it as I go!

I have not removed Windows from my Laptop because I still need it for interacting with a server I maintain from time to time, even though I could just use a VM but  I would rather not.

I have had a fair bit of practice with Linux from Kubuntu, Manjaro, Arch but i’ve decided to go for Mint for it’s stabilty (Go on hate me!) even though it’s considered a ‘Rookies Distro’ it’s damn rock solid and that’s all i’m looking for.

So here’s to a semester of Linux and hopefully from here on out!
